Bloody marvellous. Takes less than a minute start to finish and tastes great. The only issue I have is that I was hoping to narrow down the few I like in order to decide what to get from now one.but they ALL taste good (so I may just keep buying the assorted packs).

Or should we stick to buying them off Nespresso Club? Anyway, if anyone is in the market for a coffee capsule machine, this one gets the thumbs up from us. No, that's a different model (don't worry, I was confused by it as well at first ). If you look at the range on the nespresso site, many are identical but just rebranded as either Krups or Magimix, but they are essentially the same models rebranded to either parent company. Magimix sell 3 of these very similar models: M200 - manual machine with a simple frother =£136 - the one in your link M200C - semi-automatic machine (selecting volume is still manual, otherwise auto, plus has the AutoCappucino frothing nozzle) =£179 M200 Automatic - fully automatic machine (inc. Lungo/espresso select and volume select) with AutoCappucino nozzle =£199 = also sold as the Krups FNA2 I ordered the M200 Automatic because I'm lazy and thought it was worth the little bit extra.

When you register your machine - serial number should be on a sticker in the box - you will be presented with the offer when you go to the online shop. However, I guess you had to sign up in order to buy the machine. So not sure what that means in terms of registering your machine It doesn't really save any money on the capsules, but you do get the free discovery box. You also have to decide whether you want 260 capsules that are a mixture of every variety, or whether you want to just order the capsules you prefer. However, it is pretty hard to make that decision as to what you prefer when all you have is 1 capsule of each variety included with the machine.

Q: Why is there is a change in the coffee taste of my capsules? A: To maintain the optimum temperature, flow, and quality of your coffee, you are advised to descale your machine after every 400-600 capsules, or at least once a year. Nespresso offers this cleaning kit that has been designed for the Nespresso systems and its components. Another reason could be is that you are using the large cup (Lungo) button for our Espresso blends, which will over extract coffee from the capsule. This means that the coffee inside will stop producing flavor after around 40ml. The coffee may also start to burn, making it taste bitter.

Hi kdimof, I realize you posted this problem over a year ago, but I was curious to see if you were ever able to resolve this problem, or find the exact cause. I have the same issue you describe. I descaled my Lattissima for the first time using the Nespresso descaling solution. And now, two months later, I cannot remove the chemical smell/taste of the descaling solution. I've run numerous descaling cycles with just water (as per Nespresso's customer service advice), with no success. I was forced to accept a refurbished machine (even though my Lattissima was only 3 months old).

The model numbers they actually sell. Bought a Nespresso machine this week.

But we still hankered after a proper cup of coffee instead of instant, and my wife in particular wanted a nice Latte or Capuccino. So we thought we would try a capsule machine. Given the desire for easy to make Latte and Capuccino (and we were never impressed with having to use a frother on our old machine and taking it to bits every time and clean it) we went for a model with a built in Aeroccino. So we got a We have been very impressed by the Latte and Capuccino function. The Aerocinno still needs to be cleaned, but its less fuss than the frother. The froth was very thick and creamy.

But we can always ebay them it seems. Which brings me to the question of capsules on ebay. With the 260 capsule welcome offer, we wont need any for some time. But is there any risk of 'fake' capsules out there?

So, I just took the welcome pack and thought by the end of that lot I ought to know which ones I like. Click to expand. Right, well I went back onto the site and the Welcome Offer wasn't there.

And the capsules are of course less fuss than using ground beans. We were also impressed as to just how quick it was. Once the machine has warmed up for the first time (only takes a mo), then after than a cup of hot coffee is dispensed almost immediately. I wasn't expecting that, so that was nice. It takes 80 secs for the milk, so I start the coffee brewing almost at the end of that, so that both are at their maximum temp. I also think the capsules provide us with a lot more choice of coffees than we would have had with beans.

Recieved the machine the other day. I've gone from this: (machine with hopper & jug, bean grinder, 2cup attachment, tamper, bean container, frother. Etc) to this: (machine & pods). Here's what you get: Also got the welcome pack of the coffee and book but they'd forgotten to enclose the display case rolleyes: doh!). Quick ring to the uber polite telesales sorted it (they'll send it today, should get it monday ) The coffee?

My absolute favs are the Vivalto Lungo. Not a particularly strong coffee, but nice and smooth You can browse the blends here: Prices are 25p per pod for the Espresso's, 26p for the Lungo's, and 29p for the pure blends. It might sound expensive, but they really are tasty! Click to expand.I believe it's a welcome offer for just registering your machine, and placing your first order. Hence joining the Nespresso Club.

I'll check out the different machines this bank holiday. Click to expand. The pods will keep for quite some time, as they're sealed. There are 10 pods in a box, and you have to order in multiples of 5 boxes. I just keep mine in a cupboard. I haven't found a blend that I don't like yet.

@Bursar, what's the Singatoba like?

Bought a Nespresso machine this week. And so far impressed. I know people will say it is not a 'real' coffee machine, and that the capsules are expensive, but it suits our needs. We did have a normal machine in the past but frankly found it too much trouble compared to the number of times we used it.

The refurbished machine is currently on the way. We'll see if I have the same issue when I descale this one. Thanks, Redfran May 14, 2009 .

So i popped of an e-mail to Nespresso. They replied in about 5hrs, with a reason.because I had ordered my machine through them, the website took that as my first order and therefore removed the option to buy the Welcome Pack. However, they could tell that I hadn't bought any coffee yet, so said I was still eligible for the offer, but only if I did it via telephone. So I rang up, gave them my membership number (which you should get after your first order) and they agreed that I could still order it, so I did via cc.

Nespresso capsules and machines were designed to work together as a single system to deliver the perfect cup of coffee time after time. Remember, only 1-2% of the world coffee crop meets our strict quality and aroma profile requirements. Q: Does Nespresso offer Fair Trade coffee? A: It is estimated that approximately 6% of the coffee that we purchase is certified Fairtrade, as a number of farmers in our AAA Program are also Fairtrade certified. The core of Nespresso’s commitment to sustainability and farmer welfare is built around the Nespresso AAA Sustainable Quality Program, which incorporates over 63,000 farmers across 11 countries. We understand and respect the responsibility that Nespresso has in creating a sustainable coffee economy, and in embedding our best practice principles throughout our value chain, from coffee cherry to the cup.

Over extracting Espresso capsules will put unnecessary strain on a Nespresso machine’s pump. If this is the case, you will need to descale your machine more frequently. Q: How long is the Nespresso Warranty in the Philippines? A: Nespresso Philippines honors a 2 year warranty for machines purchased in the Philippines.

The froth was very thick and creamy. Just like a coffee bar. Well actually better than some.

Finding my model number Should you require the model number of your appliance for identification purposes, for example, when looking for spares and accessories on this website or when organising a repair; In the first instance always refer to the manufacturer's instruction manual which would have been included with the product at point of purchase. In a lot of cases information found here is all that will be required. For those manufacturers that do use specific model/serial numbers, these are usually found on stickers or rating plates found in less visible areas of the product. We would urge all our customers to only search their appliance for this rating plate as a last resort especially when dealing with appliances which are hard wired into the gas, electricity or water supply as there is the potential for fatal injury or irreparable damage to your appliance and or immediate surroundings. If you are unsure whether to locate this information yourself, seek advice from the manufacturer or a qualified engineer, if the appliance uses a gas supply consult a Gas Safe registered engineer. Below is a guide to where this information can be found on most major appliances • Blender.
